I’m an experienced writer and editor who curates home, lifestyle, marketplace content. I tell stories of emerging designers and makers, lifestyle influencers and more. As the former Home Editor of Sunset Magazine, I also managed the magazine’s ground-up Idea Houses in Berkeley and Los Gatos as well as a Smart Home Cottage renovation in Sonoma. I’ve also organized the magazine’s influencer events and initiatives.
I was a news, features and infographics reporter at the Orange County Register for eight years and later I spent more than five years as a contributing writer and columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle’s Home & Garden section. I was also an editor at the online publication Red Tricycle.
I cover design and travel, marketplace, health and wellness, consumer news as well as parenting and zero-waste topics.
I’m currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area and accepting freelance writing and editing assignments covering home, garden, lifestyle and marketplace. I’m available for other creative consulting services too, including styling, catalog copywriting, content strategy and social media consulting.
